A Rapid Anxiety Relief Intensive is a personalised and condensed approach to anxiety treatment. Instead of spreading sessions over months or years, we create a powerful, focused space where you can safely process anxiety and move toward lasting relief — in days, not months. Instead of attending weekly 1-hour sessions, you dedicate 1,2 or 3 days to engage in deep, uninterrupted therapeutic work. This approach allows for deeper processing and often leads to faster and more lasting relief.
During the intensive, I use some or all of these therapeutic techniques:
All tailored to you.
Before we begin your Rapid Anxiety Relief Intensive, we’ll have a consult call so we can establish if a Rapid Anxiety Relief Intensive would be a good fit for you and to allow you to ask any question prior to booking.
Once booked I will send you a Personalised Treatment Workbook which will include some assessment tools, psycho-educational information and resources to help prepare you for the intensive.
Then we will meet for a Pre-Intensive Interview. This is a vital step where we clarify your goals and explore what life looks like for you right now — including your support system, current stressors, coping strategies, and the areas where you are hoping for relief, healing, or growth. Together, we’ll create a focused plan for our time together.
During the Rapid Anxiety Relief Intensive, we work on two key goals:
1. To reduce the anxiety linked to past or current experiences
2. To strengthen and enhance the positive, supportive aspects of your life
During your intensive, we work gently and at your pace. We use grounding and calming practices that help your mind and body feel safe — such as guided imagery, mindfulness, creative reflection or other tools that help you reconnect with yourself. We also use gentle bilateral stimulation, which simply means engaging both sides of the brain in a soothing and natural way. This helps you process what you’ve been carrying without having to relive it or feel overwhelmed.
Depending on your needs, we may spend time understanding patterns from the past, or we may focus more on strengthening your confidence, resilience, and future goals. Every session is shaped around you — never forced, never rushed, and always with care.
Following the intensive, we’ll meet for a Post-Intensive Integration Session. Here, we reflect on the insights, shifts, and meaningful moments that emerged during the intensive, and explore how to carry these into your daily life.
This is a relaxed, no-obligation call to explore whether an Intensive is right for you. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to work on, how the process works, and answer any questions you may have.
The workbook includes reflective activities and simple assessments to help you prepare for the Intensive. It also gives you space to track your progress, insights, and goals — before, during, and after our work together.
A 90-minute session designed to clarify your goals for the Rapid Anxiety Relief Intensive and help you prepare for the process. Together, we’ll gently explore the memories, beliefs, emotions, or images that feel distressing or stuck — and identify what you most want relief from.
The Rapid Anxiety Relief Intensive sessions take place virtually and are scheduled over 1 to 3 days with 3 hours of focused therapy each day. Each session includes targeted therapy and resourcing activities tailored specifically to your needs.
A 90-minute session to gently reflect on your intensive experience — exploring moments of insight, relief, and transformation. We’ll also discuss your next steps to continue supporting your growth and healing moving forward.

A Rapid Anxiety Relief Intensive is an accelerated form of therapy. We will meet for a focused period of therapy, ranging from a few hours to several days, designed to help you process and heal from trauma more quickly and deeply than traditional weekly sessions. It combines several therapy techniques in a safe, structured format.
Many people wonder if working through issues intensively — over a few hours or days — is too much. But actually, research shows the opposite.
Intensive therapy is well tolerated and can help people feel better, faster.
Studies have shown that doing focused therapy over a short period (like a few days) can lead to faster results than weekly sessions — and it may even lower the chances of dropping out early.
van Woudenberg et al., 2018 | Bongaerts et al., 2021
EMDR intensives have been shown to reduce symptoms in a short space of time.
Even a few days of EMDR-focused therapy has helped people make real progress, showing that it’s not just possible — it’s effective.
Greenwald et al., 2020
This approach is also safe and promising for complex trauma.
For people with long-standing or layered trauma, intensive EMDR therapy has been found to be a safe and effective way to begin healing.
Logie et al., 2021
It can save time — emotionally and practically.
One of the reasons intensives can be so powerful is that you’re not starting and stopping every week. You spend less time:
That means we can go deeper, stay focused, and help you feel better sooner.

Start by scheduling a free 30-minute consultation. We’ll talk through your needs, answer any questions, and decide together if an intensive is the right fit for you. If you have any questions feel free to contact us below.
After the intensive, we’ll have a follow-up session to help you integrate the work and explore next steps. Some clients return for additional intensives, continue with their own therapist, or check in as needed.
Absolutely. Many clients come for an intensive while continuing with their current therapist. I’m happy to coordinate with them (with your permission) to ensure continuity of care.
We can work with a wide range of anxiety related issues and trauma — including:
Weekly therapy offers gradual progress over time. An intensive allows us to work deeply, without the stop-start nature of weekly sessions. It’s ideal if you want faster results, have limited time, or are ready to make a big shift.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you want to make meaningful progress in a shorter time frame, an intensive might be right for you. We’ll explore this together during a free consultation before booking.
That’s ok. You don’t need any previous experience. We’ll begin with a thorough assessment and preparation session to make sure you feel ready, safe, and supported throughout.
Yes — intensives are carefully structured and include preparation and integration to ensure emotional safety. We move at your pace, and I’ll provide resourcing tools to help you regulate and process what comes up.
Yes, Intensives can be done safely and effectively online. I use Zoom and tailor the pace to ensure a supportive and confidential experience from the comfort of your own space.
These intensives are ideal for adults who are struggling with anxiety that feels persistent, overwhelming, or stuck. If you’re experiencing panic, overthinking, sleep problems, nervous system exhaustion, or emotional shutdown, this format provides focused support when weekly therapy hasn’t been enough.
They’re also suitable for people whose anxiety is linked to difficult or painful experiences — such as relationship wounds, childhood patterns, bullying, loss, identity stress, or single-incident trauma. You don’t need a diagnosis or a “big story” to benefit; many clients simply feel stuck, burnt out, or tired of carrying everything alone.
Intensives are especially helpful if you’re preparing for a big life change, moving through a stressful transition, or you’re ready for a deeper level of relief and progress in a shorter amount of time.

Some insurance plans may reimburse a portion of the cost of an Intensive. I recommend calling your insurance company first in order to get details about your specific plan. I’m happy to provide more information to help with this process.
Intensives give you the results you would get from months of therapy in a much shorter period of time. If you add up the cost of weekly therapy, an Intensive is actually more cost effective. Instead of waiting months, you can get the same results in a few days.
